| | | | | Antibody Facility at the LR Immunodiagnostics Unit, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford |
The generation and use of antibodies of the highest quality for experimental, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in haematological medicine and research is of crucial importance. The LR Immunodiagnostics Unit has a dedicated facility for the generation of monoclonal antibodies for LR grantholders.
For full information on the Facility go to www.ndcls.ox.ac.uk
All enquiries should be directed to the Facility Manager, Jackie Cordell.
Proteomics Facility at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, Manchester
The remit of the LR Proteomics Facility is to provide the leukaemia research community in the UK with advice, protocols and experimental assistance for the use of the techniques collectively defined by the term proteomics.
Protein expression levels, protein-protein interactions and subcellular localisation can be studied using proteomic techniques and proteomics can also be applied to the analysis of post-translational modifications.
The Facility has limited resources to support some research projects with other groups. Leukaemia Research has established a management board to prioritise the research projects undertaken by the LR Facility on behalf of the leukaemia research community. Projects undertaken will be on a collaborative basis and performed using the ‘research hotel’ principle whereby investigators bring samples and work alongside facility members to receive training whilst acquiring the necessary data.
In summary we can offer:
Advice
Access to equipment and training
Application of proteomic technologies to leukaemia research
Protein identification/analysis using mass spectrometry
