Hosted by Royal College of Nursing
Looks at all aspects of the cancer patient pathway by innovations aimed at improving outcomes and patient experience. Across all cancers, but nurses in haematology may be interested in seminars on teenagers and young people; and understanding depression in cancer. Concurrent sessions relevant to haematology nurses include piloting a new chemotherapy course(Angela Madigan, Macmillan Haematology CNS/Lead Chemotherapy Nurse, Macmillan Centre,London), investment into cancer nurse specialists (Mhairi Simpson, Nurse Consultant Cancer Care, Wishaw); The development of network nurse led chemotherapy clinics (Carol Gregson, Ward Manager, Clatterbridge Centre in Wirral) and outreach chemotherapy services (Cathy Barker, Lead Nurse, Whitchurch).
